Any photograph you had stored, will be entirely erased when an SD card is reformatted. Step 1

Find an SD file recovery program online. Download and install the software to your computer.

Step 2

Turn off your digital camera or photo frame and remove the SD card. Place the card into your PC's SD port or SD adapter.

Open the SD recovery program and select your SD card drive within the program.

Click the button in the program to start file recovery. It will restore the deleted files back to the SD card.

Check to make sure your SD files are restored. Go to "Start" > "Computer" and double-click on the SD card drive to look at the photos inside.
