format recovery

Is there software can recover formatted memory cards or disks? If you accidentally pressed the format button and now the formatted SD or disk says it has no images. Don't panic. You should removed the SD card immediately after realizing this problem.

Method 1 Don't put new files on the formatted disk and don't deleted anything either!

To avoid possible overwriting, be sure not to put any additional pictures on the same memory card before you recover them. Any action will lead to a lower success rate of data recovery. Actually there is something named "file allocation table" in all disks in your computer. If the disk FAT is corrupted or formatted, the computer can never locate the wanted data in the disk.
Therefore you cannot see your formatted files. However when you delete some files you didn't delete the real file, it is the file's entry from the file allocation table that has been deleted.
The actual contents of the file are still existing on the disk. This is just like a book without a bookmark, you cannot locate the exact page you read last time immediately. If you save some more files onto that disk, new data will cover the formatted files and your data will hardly be recoverable.

Method 2 Checked the SD card's slide switch!

If what you formatted is a memory card, please make sure that you didn't accidentally place the tiny locking slide switch on the side of your SD card in the "locked" downward position. The correct "unlocked" position should be slid up toward the direction of the connectors.

Method 3 Download a drive recovery program.

A drive recovery tool can find the deleted data which our computers can't find. A good hard drive recovery software can recover your corrupted card and save almost all data on it.
